October marks the beginning of the band’s winter season, starting with a poignant playing of the Last Post at the wreath laying ceremony in the Memorial Garden, ahead of the reflective Remembrance Service in Wadhurst Church on Sunday 10 November. Then we will be ramping up our rehearsals for our Christmas season programme.
This year’s Christmas concert on Saturday 7 December is being held in the Commemoration Hall. Although last year’s show in Uplands Hall was a great success, the school redevelopments make access for our audience more challenging so we are playing in the Commemoration Hall this year. Tickets will be available at Carillon Cottage from end of October or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you don’t want to miss out on this ever-popular show, make sure you buy your tickets early. If bought in advance, prices are £10 each, £8 concessions, or £10 on the door (if there are any left!) and include a glass of wine or juice and a mince pie.
