Virtual performances update.

Unfortunately there is still no news about us resuming rehearsals and with the current tightening of restrictions it may be some weeks off yet.

If you are missing your ‘brass-band-fix’ then you’ll be pleased to know that we are working on another virtual piece. We first performed Stål Himmel, by Alan Fernie, at last year’s Remembrance Concert where it was really well received by those present.

Written by Scotsman Fernie for Norwegian-based Musikkorpset Gjallarhorn, Stål Himmel is an evocative and reflective piece, perfect for the autumn season, showcasing all instrument parts at various points throughout. It has become a firm favourite of the band and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoy playing it.

And finally, we are thinking of putting together a CD recording of all our virtual performances during lockdown. If you are interested in obtaining a copy, please contact manager@wadhurstbrassband.co.uk to register your interest.
