It’s so good to be back together!

We’re very pleased to report that the full band has continued to rehearse, dusting off old favourites ready for when we are finally allowed to perform again. A big thank you to Mary Harris at the Kent and Sussex Courier for reporting on our first rehearsal on 20 May – it was great to see the band on the front page and several others inside.

Unfortunately, we had hoped that our first event would be welcoming the Bewl 15 runners at the finish line on 4 July, but due to English Athletics protocols we are not able to do this.

However, if the village get-together on 11 July at the Primary School goes ahead, we will be there. Regardless of any delays, we will continue to enjoy our slightly weird spaced-out rehearsals ready for when we finally get in front of a live audience.

We are already taking bookings for later in the year and into 2022, so if you would like us to play at your special event, please contact Graham Brant on engagements@wadhurstbrassband.co.uk

David Healy, our Musical Director, will be moving away from the area, so Life President Algy Hoare BEM and Flugel Horn player Chris Cannings have been helping with conducting duties. But we do need a new permanent conductor. If you think you have what it takes and are interested, please email Denise Beedell on manager@wadhurstbrassband.co.uk for more details.
