Calling all would-be conductors!

Updated: Mar 15, 2020

Are you a musician who would like to try their hand at conducting a brass band? Perhaps your're a music student who would like to expand your musical expertise to support your studies?

Whatever your motivation, Wadhurst Brass Band is seeking an L-Plate Brass conductor, ideally someone who is based in the Wadhurst area to take on the role. We can provide training, tailored to your experience, whether you are an experienced conductor looking to work with a smaller group or someone completely new to conducting.

L-Plate Brass is a very important part of the Band, providing an opportunity for novices of all ages to develop or rekindle their playing skills with the aim of bringing on new players for the main band. Indeed, many of the current main band members started their musical journey in L-Plate, including our own Musical Director, David Healy.

If you are interested in the L-Plate Brass conductor’s role or would like to be part of this rather special village band, please contact Denise Beedell on manager@wadhurstbrassband.co.uk.
