On Saturday 30th April 2022, Wadhurst Brass Band held their Spring Concert in the Commemoration Hall, in Wadhurst. This was our 2nd concert since Covid and we loved every minute of it! We would like to thank everyone who came and supported us, we are thrilled to be back performing again and we hope you enjoyed it just as much as we did.
Special thanks goes to Denise Beedell for her continued hard work behind the scenes, Merlin Beedell for the lighting and photography and the WBB Committee for organising another successful concert.
On the 5th September 2020, band members Suzanne Healy and Bennet Smith got married in between the 1st and 2nd lockdown. Finally, on Saturday 2nd April 2022, they were able to celebrate their marriage with us and their friends and family who were unable to attend in 2020 due to the Covid restrictions.
It was an absolute privilege to celebrate the marriage of our dear "Drum and Bass" duo. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
WBB had a busy carolling season over the Christmas period and a very successful concert on the 4th December. Thank you to all those who were able to attend and supported us by following the guidelines that were put in place.
We were very fortunate to be able too spread some Christmas cheer after another challenging year. Here's to more banding in 2022!
Wadhurst Brass Band performed in the St Peter and St Paul Church, Wadhurst for this years Remembrance service, which took place on Sunday 14th November. The band were privileged and honoured to play for those who have fallen in the line of duty.
The band would like to thank David Healy for taking the baton and for also playing the Last post at the War Memorial.
A special thanks also goes to David Hughes for performing the Last Post and accompanying the Wadhurst Chior during the Church Service.
On Sunday 5th September 2021, Wadhurst Brass Band were able to perform at their first public engagement since 2019.
They performed at the Woodbury Park Cemetery with a programme packed with a variety of genres, this included the Irish Blessing, James Bond Collection and Queens Park Melody. The band are thrilled to be back playing again and the glorious weather made their first engagement back very special.

New MD at WBB!
Following David Healy's relocation to Buckinghamshire we at the Wadhurst Brass Band are pleased to introduce our new MD Mike West.
Mike is a Trumpet/Flugel player with 26 years experience as a free lance professional musician and a sponsored artist for Eclipse Trumpets. Whilst Mike has a very strong background in Big Bands and Swing Bands his routes are planted from Brass Bands, having competed at the highest level, under such names including but not limited to Frank Renton (Host of BBC2’s Listen to the Band)
Please join all of us at Wadhurst Brass Band in introducing Mike West and we all look forward to seeing what he has to offer our community band and our wonderful fans and concert goers.
